
Leonor Freire Antunes
Architect and PhD Student
Leonor Antunes is an architect and a PhD student in Architecture at the Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon. She completed her master’s degree in Architecture in 2023, with a dissertation entitled The Search for the Primitive Monastery of Madre de Deus. The research focused on the application of digital methodologies to the study, representation and communication of architectural heritage, with a particular interest in 3D surveys, ground-penetrating radar, digital modelling and HBIM (Historic Building Information Modelling) workflows. She is currently conducting research into the potential of augmented reality in the interpretation and dissemination of female monastic heritage, bringing together history, architecture, museology and digital technologies.
